Javea Holiday Villa Information

Javea is located on the most easterly point of mainland Spain at the northern end of the Costa Blanca, almost right between Valencia and Alicante. The coastline has scenic rocky coves, wonderful beaches and very dramatic cliffs.
Javea has been voted ‘environmentally near perfect’ by the World Health Organisation and has 320 days of sunshine a year. Javea can be divided into three main areas – the Port, the Old Town and the Arenal.
Here amongst the modern buildings you will find the ancient quarters of narrow streets with the simple whitewashed fishermen’s houses. It is a very lively area with a great number of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Javea port is a perfect place to sit and enjoy a glass of the local wines and watch the fishing boats bring in the day’s catch.
At the centre of the port you will find the stunning structure of the church of Our Lady of Loreto the roof of which looks like the hull of a ship.
Javea Old town is the ancient town centre complete with medieval history which has largely been preserved throughout the years. In Javea Old Town, you can wander through the dozens of small streets, and enjoy the atmosphere of a typical old Spanish town.
The fortified church of San Bartolome is at the centre of Javea Old Town and this building dates back to the 15th century, half religious half military. Next to the church is a beautiful Neo Gothic building where you will find the indoor market. Here you can buy local fresh produce every day.
Javea`s main beach where the shore gently slopes into the warm sea and is thus, very child friendly. The promenade has a large number of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants that provide a range of food to suit all tastes and pockets.
From mid afternoon in the summer, you will find a number stalls on Javea Arenal selling a variety of mainly handmade crafts. Many of the bars have live music and there are several discotheques for those who like to dance the night away, the main one being Achill, that caters for a younger audience.
Places to visit
For the kids (and grown ups) in your party, Benidorm`s Terra Mitica theme park is only 40 minutes away and is a must visit. We also recommend Mundomar Sea life centre, and of course Aqualandia Water Park, also both about 40 minutes drive away.
